As Generous Hands approaches our 20-yeasr of operation, there is a sense of gratitude for the steady support of so many in the Vicksburg community and beyond. We are thankful for your trust in our mission, as we have adapted over the years to the changing needs of students and families in our program. Generous Hands provided the following services:
Monthly Family Fare vouchers
Vicksburg Farmers' Market coupons
Weekly Power Packs for students
Backpacks and school supplies to students
Funding for athletic shoes once a year
Menstrual products at each school
Healthy snacks to all school buildings
Food for three Blessing Boxes in area communities
Gas and laundry gift cards to Pathways students
Referrals to South County Community Services
Referrals to ChapNaz Community Clothes Closet.
And the list continues to evolve! So many changes from the original pilot program in 2004! All thanks to the giving spirit of our many donors. Looking forward to a 20th anniversary celebration with you November 3, 2024!
